Shifty Brent - Till the Last Train

You lean across the table to me.
Stay till the last train leaves the square.
Let the morning find us sitting here.
No promise needed, no grand design,
Just your hand resting close to mine.
The clock above the counter sighs.
A tired cook is stacking knives.
You draw a circle in the steam.
